JOYFUL DETERMINATION welcome us as silly unending children be not chagrined when you see yourself reflected in our smiles and hear yourself in whispers behind cupped hands take joy in us as we laugh and frolic in the jungle gym playgrounds you called obstacles we will climb, even without arms hanging by the skin of our teeth we will run, even without legs waddling on hip stumps for we are unstoppable we will tirelessly drag bricks and boards for our fort because we know that the word fort is short for fortress and our imagination is our protection and our strength when you see that shine at the edge of our eyes recognize it for what it really is it is a phoenix rising ever ascending and never returning to ash our feathers will not melt we will not burn as we get nearer the sun our wings are made of flame! we will not suffocate in the outer reaches of space our throat and lungs are made of oxygen! we are the epitome of confidence walk with us, run with us, play this game with us and know in the depths of your gut that NOTHING is impossible
